Question of the day...

A little analogy to share from Grey's...

"Simply put...with a typical breakfast for example, you get your ham and eggs. The chicken for where the eggs came from, is simply just "involved" in the process (of providing you breakfast). All it had to do was lay the eggs, so you get the eggs. The pig, however, is a different case. It is totally committed. For you to get that breakfast, a pig has to give up a part of himself so that you get your hams. Now, translate that into relationships --- which are you? The Chicken or the Pig? Do you provide the eggs or the ham? Are you involved-involved or committed-involved?"

So, are you the ham or the eggs?

Reminiscing the 14 days & 14 nites of craziness in Europe...restless w/ squalid traveling condition at some point...

In retrospect, they were my happiest days of this summer, actually in this entire year...for as long as i can remember, haven't had 1/2 the fun as we did in this trip...

My whole life so far couldn't even sum up to the things we learned/ seen in the mere 2 weeks, definitely an eye opening/ culture exchanging experience...

http://chirley.myphotoalbum.com/
Just my Luck...

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....

Let's see, summary of the last few days'drama:

1) Lost the debit card at the bank machine today
- couldn't even remember if I pulled it out after running the most recent transactions. Got home 3 hours later & realized this fact. Panicked & spent 15 minutes on hold, finally got it cancelled without fraudulent activities happening..*thank god*

2) Lost the security pass for work
- didn't even clue in until someone from another building emailed me to report lost card found, or else...it'd 've to be reported & go through authorization by my manager & VP to attain access again.

3) Left my SPC discount card at Guess
- damn cashier probably kept it

4) Locked myself out of the house AGAIN (Left the keys behind for the millionth times)

Seriously, can anyone be any more absent minded than I'm lately? Aside from going thru the Quarter Life Crisis, am I going thru an early stage of Alzheimer's as well? These events surely fit into the descriptions of the syndrome...

or perhaps just combined effects of over-stressed + starvation?

*sighs* or perhaps, I'm just a klutz!

An open letter to Timmy's

Dear Timmy's,
I've been a loyal customer to your firm since the very early stage of my caffeine addiction. Yet what happened today got me decided to boycott you from this day forth.

As usual, got a cup of mdm dbl dbl + bottle of water. W/o realizing the temperature of the hot beverage, I burned my tongue (which I admit was totally my fault, not blaming anybody on my stupidity & thirstiness) My friend who was in line ordering was kind enuv to ask for some ice cubes for me & got the following response from your staff:
"Can't give it to you now. We're busy, line up...You've to wait."

Ok, I understood that there were like 6 customers in line behind him. Fine, I’d wait. Tho didn't make sense that she couldn't just reach over instantly....*finger tapping, clock ticking* Ok, that damn coffee was hot, I might as well get up & ask for it myself.

Waited after 4 more customers & no one was behind me this time. Managed to suppress my impatience & politely asked "May I pls have a glass of ice? Thanks." She said "Ok." & next thing you know, 2 guys came in, she just turned around & served'em, completely ignored my presence & request? WTF? So I spoke up demanding my ice cubes, she actually had the balls to say " You asking for free-stuffs, have to wait." Say what? Were my friends & I not paying customers? We bought 7 drinks in total & you dared to tell me I had to wait for free stuffs again after waiting *twice*? & on top of that, I was frigging "injured"(which I clearly stated that fact).

I asked for the manager & some dude who obviously did not speak good English came up. Told him the situation & he just stood there like a zombie without any reactions. Mind you, at this point she *finally* gave me the ice & I timed it. It was done within 3 secs. Honestly, how hard could it be to grab'em when it was right behind her? Anyways, since they finally fulfilled my simple request, I headed back to the table.

5 mins later, the supposingly mgr dude approached our table & asked about the incidence again.

This time, even worse, when I mentioned about calling into H.O. & asked for the store number. He replied, "I can't tell you anything about the store."
Me: Ok, but what's your store address?
Mgr: Can't tell you.
Me: What's her name? I'd like to call your H.O.
Mgr: Can't tell you.
Me: Doesn't she have a name tag? How can you not tell me?

At this point, I was tired of their ignorance & rudeness. Went straight up to the counter & made a mental note of her name, Nithya.

Then he attempted to convince me not to file any complains by saying " Even if you call, they won't do anything. Only 2 of us working, they understand. You don't need to call."
Well, frankly, if either of you were more co-operative & attentive, I really didn't need to call.

What really ticked me off was both of their attitudes, the least they could've done was be a lil more sincere & apologetic. But neither of'em expressed that nor any respect.

To end this note, thank you for all those years of messing up our orders which majority of us had experienced.

Sincerely,

A dissatisfied customer who'll be
1) dialing your customer service toll free # very soon
2) boycotting the Caledonia location particularly
3) caffeine deprived
